Work Therapy

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is a spiritually based residential rehabilitation program providing services in the areas of alcohol and drug addictions, as well as other social issues.

The Program is supported by the donations the ARC receives from the community in the form of new and used clothing, furniture, appliances, electronics, and automobiles. All of these items are sorted, cleaned, and/or refurbished at the warehouse by the men/women in the program. This provides an opportunity for each man/woman to develop his/her work skills, learn the importance of work, develop a work record, and/or learn a new trade at the Center. After these items have been sorted, they are transported to the Family Stores located throughout the Metro-Chicago Area.

The Salvation Army ARC is 100% self-sufficient; receiving no government or public funding. The ARC welcomes all private donations.
